Reading Challenge here we come!

As you may be aware from our website/Facebook posts, we have been so lucky to use our recent fundraising money on 50 new books for each class from Reception to Year 6. Since returning to school post lockdown, we have introduced badges for the children to achieve once they have read some of the books. There are bronze, silver, gold and platinum badges to work towards and your child can get one of these badges by reading lots of the reading books.

In Key Stage One, all you need to do is record in their reading diaries that your child has read/had the story read to them. In key stage 2, the children are asked to write an online book review (using the links below) to recommend the book to others, which then helps others to choose a book.

Each class has assigned points to the books depending on how long they are and points mean badges!
We know there are lots of children who have already achieved badges and it is great to see these being worn with pride around school.
