We've reached the end of another half term! Well done everyone! The weather is still causing a bit of disruption but we're made of strong stuff and don't mind a bit of wet, blustery weather!
All year groups finished the half term with our free choice sessions. We take lots of equipment out and the children use what they want to create their own games and skills.
What can I say! Wow! We had some fantastic games created. There were obstacle courses, stations to improve throwing and catching and racket skills. There were games of football, cricket, tennis, volleyball and dodgeball. We played 'King of the Fort', definitely a new favourite! We also had skipping, hula-hooping and even an amazing crazy golf course set up by Seb and Henry in year 5!
I have seen children teaching other children skills and explaining and demonstrating rules as well as enjoying learning from each other. I'm always amazed at their creativity!
Years 3 and 4 have also had another rounders lesson with Mr Dale and Miss McCurrie.
Years 5 and 6 also completed cricket and tennis with Miss Welch and Mrs Burns.
Well done everyone, it's been a fantastic half term!
Have a super week off, recharge your batteries and get ready for Summer 2 when we will also be having some exciting new lessons from Sports Coaching.
See you next half term!
Mrs Jenkins
