Year 6 News of the Week

An amazing week Year 6. You continue to work hard in all areas of your learning and you are covering so
much curriculum too. Well done

Maths this week has been dedicated to Measurement. We have covered perimeter, area and
volume of different shapes using known formulae. We have tackled two SATs reasoning papers which completes the 2025 set and we will analyse our answers next week.

We have completed the 2025 spelling and grammar papers and will use our answers to recap our knowledge
next week.

During Book Club this week we have been busy analysing SATs reading papers and then we sat the 2025 reading
paper in test conditions. We will revisit them next week.

I think your standout moments this week have to be your determination and resilience that you have shown when
tackling our mock SATs. I am so proud of you all.

We have been just as busy in our afternoons where we have enjoyed Music, PE, RE, Wellbeing, PSHE, Computing,
AYLA and Art. We have also spent time on our Daily Mile track, the adventure playground and we have met up with our favourite buddies too.

Please can you encourage your child to keep up to date with their homework as we lead into our final week of
SATs preparations.
