We have enjoyed some brilliant learning in Year 5!
We have been learning about our new text the promise, reading the example text and exploring the language and structure features as well as writers knowledge we will use in our own piece of writing. Maths this week has been based on learning short division method (bus stop method).
We have had two important moments to share this week -
Our wow moment this week definitely has to be our visit to the moss. We visited the moss again with our group leaders and this week, we took on some conservation challenges. We absolutely loved the activities this week. Using loppers and bow saws, we cut down trees and bushes at the moss which are sucking up the water. It is important that these are removed to ensure we keep the moss a floating peat bog!
Today, we have had a safety talk from Andy from Cheshire Police. We learnt about the importance of staying safe online. We were told about how data is accessed about us online. We also learnt that mobiles are a powerful computer that store and share lots of information about us.
Throughout the week, we have also enjoyed our two PE lessons, music, Computing, History and RE.
Maths.co.uk homework has been set.
Have a wonderful weekend.
