In English, we have completed our edits on our survival narrative and moved on to our second piece of writing – a survival guide. We have spent time this week to explore what a good example looks like, learning about suitable vocabulary choices and gathering ideas and research to support us when we write our own.
In maths, we have moved on to learn about angles. We started our week by learning about acute, obtuse, right and reflex angles. We have then moved on to learn how to measure angles using both the inside and outside scale of our protractor and ending the week by learning how to draw our own.
Our wow wonderful moment this week has been completing our RE unit on Women of the Old Testament. Throughout this unit, we have learnt the stories of Jochebed, Deborah, Abigail, Rahab, Hannah, Ruth and Esther. Throughout each of the lessons, we have focused on the qualities that these women show and why they are significant stories for the Bible. Each lesson, we reflected on the choices they made and whether we thought these were right. At the end of the unit, whilst learning about Esther's story, we learnt about the Jewish festival of Purim and its significance.
Throughout the week, we have also enjoyed two PE lessons, two computing lessons, music, wellbeing, science, history, a heartsmart PSHE lesson and French.
Maths.co.uk homework has been set for this week.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
