Year 5 have enjoyed becoming scientists this week.
We have started a new unit of writing based on the book 'The Promise' this week. In maths, we have learnt about our final written method for multiplication – compact multiplication to multiply two digits by one and two digits.
Our wow moment this week is linked to Science. We have enjoyed celebrating Science week and exploring the theme of curiosity.
We completed an experiment to see what aeroplane design would fly the best. We made aeroplanes, helicopters and gliders. We enjoyed testing how well they could fly! This linked brilliantly to our Science lessons of forces and air resistance!
Year 5 have also completed a task which involved each child holding onto a peg in a group and attempting to recreate the same image. We needed to investigate how to work well as a team!
Throughout the week, we have also enjoyed our two PE lessons, music, Computing, Science, Heartsmart and RE.
Maths.co.uk homework has been set.
Have a wonderful weekend.
