We have had a wonderfully busy week in year 5!
As part of our Survival Theme Day, pupils threw themselves into an Amazon themed adventure. They explored the River, Rainforest, Region and River Basin, labelled the eight countries and one overseas territory where the Amazon Rainforest is found, and used climate graphs to uncover key information. In their country teams, pupils built and tested dens and created 3D models of both the Amazon River and the rainforest’s four layers. This was a brilliant mix of creativity, teamwork and hands on learning. In our afternoon, we enjoyed learning about Mayan football – Pok ta Pok. We enjoyed trying the game for ourselves! A huge thank you to all of Year 5 for the fantastic effort put into costumes and survival kits. This helped make the day feel truly immersive and memorable.
We have also worked amazingly hard on our worship and have enjoyed sharing this with everyone today. Thank you to everyone who came.
We have also enjoyed visiting our new classroom and getting to know our new teacher Mrs Crowther.
This week, we have also enjoyed RE, Music, PE, RHE and DT.
Maths.co.uk homework has been set for this week.
Have a lovely weekend!
