Year 4 News of the Week – 2.10.26

Happy Friday, Year 4!

Another fantastic week, Year 4! What a busy week we have had! We have worked incredibly hard and have continued to show just how much we can achieve when we put our minds to it.

In Maths, we have been working with scaled and blank number lines and have been using these to help us solve different problems. We have also been practising rounding numbers using our decider number and have been brushing up on our times tables on TT Rock Stars. New homework has been set this week to reflect the learning we have been doing in class, so please keep practising at home!

In English, we have spent some time brushing up on our expanded noun phrases, similes and speech. We have chosen our detectives and criminals for our own stories and have now completed our plans, ready to begin our exciting writing next week. We can't wait to see where our stories take us!

Our Wow Moment this week came in our History lesson. We learnt all about the Battle of Stamford Bridge and used our whiteboard jottings to help us answer different types of questions. We enjoyed finding out more about this important event and showing what we had learnt.

We have been just as busy in our afternoons too! We have enjoyed PE, RE, Music, French, History, Computing, Book Club, Friendship Terrace, Spelling and Handwriting. We have also enjoyed listening to a Harvest story and taking part in our Harvest Worship.

Another fantastic week, Year 4. You have worked incredibly hard and should be very proud of yourselves.
