Year 3 Weekly News – Happy Half Term

What a fantastic final week of half term we have had in Year 3!

In English, we wrote our own fact files about The Secret Giant. We explored the key features of a fact file and used our creativity to think of interesting and imaginative facts for our own writing. The children produced some wonderful pieces of work with  impressive ideas.

In Maths, we focused on finding complements to 100 and 1,000. We followed our Steps to Success carefully, using the strategies we have learned to help us solve problems with confidence.

In Computing, we learned about computer networks, discussing what they are and how they are used in our everyday lives.

In French, we recapped everything we have learned so far this term, from saying hello and introducing ourselves to asking someone's name. We also practised counting from 1 to 10 and it was great to see how much the children could remember.

We also enjoyed learning in Wellbeing, Science, History, Music and PE, where we continued to work hard and show enthusiasm for our learning.

To finish the half term, we shared our Class Worship.

I am incredibly proud of all the children. They spoke clearly and confidently, sang beautifully and shared their message with great thought and understanding. It was a wonderful way to celebrate all we  have achieved this half term.
