What a wonderful week we’ve had together!

Our wow moment of the week was our visit to the church. The children behaved beautifully — both on the walk there and back, and during our time inside. Rev Allison acted out a baptism for us, which the children found fascinating, and we were able to explore the different areas and special items within the church. It was a memorable and meaningful experience for everyone.

In English, we finished writing our own narratives based on Stay! by Alex Latimer. The children had great fun creating their mischievous pets and adding imaginative details to their stories. We also explored different sentence structures — questions, commands and statements — and practised using them effectively in our writing.

In Maths, we continued our work on time, moving on to telling the time in 5â€'minute intervals. The children worked really hard and are becoming increasingly confident with reading analogue clocks.

In History, we investigated why the Great Fire of Nantwich spread so quickly. The children thought carefully about the materials, weather and conditions at the time and shared some excellent ideas.

In Music, we used Chrome Music Lab to create patterns of musical notes. The children enjoyed experimenting with rhythm, pitch and pattern through technology.

We also enjoyed our lessons in DT, PSHE, Science and PE, where the children continued to show great teamwork and enthusiasm.
