Year 2 News 25.09.26

In our writing this week, we have enjoyed exploring the story of 'Herman's letter'. We have written about Herman's journey to deliver his letter, written questions from the perspective of animals, answered comprehension questions and innovated a new character for our upcoming story using noun phrases. 

In our maths learning, we have been ordering numbers and gaining an understanding of place value on number lines. Our learning for this started with marked number lines and moved on to unmarked ones. 

Our spelling focus this week was on the 's' sound spelt 'ci, ce and cy'. 

The highlight of our week this week was our visit from PC Nick. PC Nick came to school to tell us about the role of police officers. We loved listening to everything he had to tell us and most importantly, we enjoyed viewing the police van that he brought to school!

We have also enjoyed our lessons of science, PE, PSHE, wellbeing, computing, art, RE and music.
