What a fantastic first week back in Year 1!

Everyone has returned from the Easter break ready to learn, full of curiosity, asking thoughtful questions and joining in brilliantly.

This week has been full of memorable moments, including a visit from a very poorly seagull in our classroom! The children showed such care and compassion. We have also been working hard to help keep Brampton Beach clean, thinking about how we can look after our environment.

In maths, we’ve been practising counting backwards from 20, and in the afternoons we’ve enjoyed some fieldwork, exploring and finding our favourite places to play around school.

In art, we have been learning how to create spirals, and in science we planted seeds, we can’t wait to see if our sunflowers grow!

We also had a great visit from Cyber Sid, who taught us all about staying safe online and the importance of not talking to people we don’t know.

It has been a great week back. Well done, Year 1! Have a lovely weekend everyone.
