Year 1 Weekly News – 02.10.26

What a fantastic time we had at Messy Church this week! A huge thank you to all the parents and carers who came along and joined in the fun. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, creating together and enjoying this special time as a community.

The children absolutely loved our harvest-themed activities and there were lots of smiles, creativity and, of course, a little bit of mess!

We enjoyed making:

Thankful Sunflowers – The children created beautiful sunflowers and added things they are grateful for onto each leaf. It was lovely to hear all the thoughtful things they chose to be thankful for.

Scarecrow Bags – We got creative making our very own scarecrow-themed bags. They were full of personality and made a wonderful harvest decoration!

Apple Crumble – We had great fun preparing a delicious apple crumble. The children enjoyed getting involved with the ingredients and learning about seasonal foods.

Vegetable Printing – We explored vegetables in a different way by using them to create colourful prints with paint. The children loved experimenting with different shapes and patterns.

And that wasn’t all! We had lots of other fun activities, opportunities to create, explore and spend time together.

It was wonderful to see the children having fun, trying new things, sharing their ideas and celebrating the harvest season together.

A big thank you once again to all our parents and carers who came along and helped make Messy Church such a special occasion. Your support and enthusiasm really helped make it a memorable experience for everyone.

What a fantastic week of fun, creativity, gratitude and togetherness!

We can’t wait to see what our next Wow Moments bring!
