We have had a wonderful week of learning in Year 5!

We have been writing our Hound of the Baskerville report in English this week. In maths, we have learnt about written methods for multiplication – long and short column multiplication and grid method.

Our wow moment this week definitely has to be world book day. I was blown away by the costumes in Year 5. I loved seeing how your brought your favourite book characters to life. Throughout the day, we explored a new book called 'The Proud Blue'. It is an amazing story which reminds us to be proud of who we are and what we wear. We used this book to inspire an amazing piece of writing which consisted of showcasing why we wear colours. It was a descriptive paragraph focused on the use of figurative language. In our afternoon, we enjoyed creating a piece of art work based on our book and taking inspiration from Faith Ringgold.

Throughout the week, we have also enjoyed our two PE lessons, music, Computing, History and RE.

Maths.co.uk homework has been set.
