Y4 Weekly News 12.06.26

Our highlight this week has definitely been taking part in CDAT's Environmental Week. We worked alongside the National Education Nature Park Trust to place two hedgehog homes on our school field. We learned that hedgehogs need safe, quiet places to shelter, with plenty of long grass, leaves and natural habitats where they can find food such as insects and worms. Taking this on board, we have place one in the forest schools area and one in our orchard area.  It was wonderful to help create a space where local wildlife can thrive and to play our part in looking after the environment.

Maths has also been fantastic this week. We have been learning to identify and compare acute, obtuse and right angles, using our growing understanding to spot angles in a variety of shapes and real-life objects. In English, we have begun planning our exciting portal narratives, using Leon and the Place Between as our inspiration.

Alongside this, we have also enjoyed Book Club, spelling activities, Computing, Geography, PE, Music, History, RE and Science, making it another busy and successful week of learning.
