Y4 Weekly News 03.07.26

Happy Friday, Year 4!

We've had another fantastic week packed with creativity and exciting learning. One of our biggest wow moments was in Art, where you planned and began creating your amazing 3D food sculptures. Using newspaper, you carefully twisted and shaped it before securing everything with masking tape to create the basic structure. Your sculptures are already taking shape, and we can't wait to add the Modroc next week to bring them to life!

In English, you began planning your persuasive writing, using exciting ideas and persuasive language to convince people to come and see the amazing magic tricks at the circus. I can't wait to see your finished pieces!

In Maths, we explored metric units of measure and learnt how to convert between them. You worked hard to understand the relationships between different units and applied your knowledge to a range of practical problems.  It also helped us embedded our understanding of dividing and multiplying by 10 and 100.

This week, we also enjoyed our transition morning. It was lovely to visit our new classroom and spend some time finding out all about the exciting year ahead. It was wonderful to see you approach the morning with such enthusiasm and confidence. I am very lucky to be your teacher again next year.

Alongside this, you've also enjoyed lessons in PE, HeartSmart, Music, RHE, French, Computing, RE and Science. Another busy and successful week!
