Happy Half Term Reception Class: We made it !!
This week has flown by as we have counted down the day to a much needed rest.
Here is a little snapshot of some of our learning from across the week...

In Literacy, we made a story map for Supertato and wrote sentences for each part of the story. We are getting really good at remembering what happens and turning it into our own writing, just like real storytellers!

In Maths, we explored complex patterns and we are so good at them! We learned how to spot the core and the repeating part and name our patterns like AB, ABC, AAB and ABB. We felt very proud of our clever pattern spotting.

At Forest School, we listened to the story of Doug the Slug Looking for Love and made a big love heart using all of our handprints together. We followed the fire safety rules carefully and even toasted our own marshmallow this week, it was delicious!

In Wellbeing, we explored our senses and thought about all the things we enjoy seeing, hearing, tasting, touching and feeling. It was lovely sharing what makes us happy.

We’ve also been busy with RE, phonics and PE, learning and growing every single day.
