Reception Class News

We’ve had such a busy week! We helped plant new hedging plants in our Forest School. We can’t wait to see them grow big and strong so animals can use them as a special wildlife corridor. We felt very proud because we’re helping our planet too.

In Literacy, we started reading Supertato! We loved meeting the Evil Pea again and we’ve been writing our own super sentences — we’re getting really good at sounding out words and having a go on our own.

In Maths, we explored 3D shapes. We used cubes, cones, cylinders and spheres to make buildings in our construction area. We talked about which shapes make good towers, which ones roll away, and which ones make the best roofs.

We’ve also been busy in PE, RE, Music and Wellbeing… and we’ve been amazing superheroes all week long.
