We would like to give a big preschool welcome to our new team member Beth.
This week in preschool we have been very busy singing our Christmas songs and acting out the scenes for our nativity play.
We have been very creative with lots of Christmas craft activities, making Christmas tree baubles, decorating trees and making cards for our families.
We have also been writing cards and adding stamps in our Christmas workshop.
Jack Frost has visited us this week and we have had lots of fun investigating the frozen world outside, drawing in the frost and exploring the frozen leaves. We have worked together to free the animals from the ice and had great fun in a pretend snowball fight on Friday.
In our carpet time sessions this week we have written a fantastic oral story map which the children called "The Reindeer who felt cold", we also joined in a game of Christmas themed bingo.
In our music time this week we played with jingle bells and sang the song Ready Steady Stop.
We have been listening to lots of stories this week and would like to thank our two mystery readers for sharing their time with us and reading the stories 'The night before Christmas' and 'Superworm'. We have also listened to the story 'Bear learns to Share' and the poem 'Cold' by Shirley Hughes.
Next week will be filled with Christmas fun, including on Wednesday Christmas Jumper Day and Christmas Lunch.
Have a lovely weekend
Helen, Beth and Kim
