Year 6 Go Ape – 4.7.25

Another fabulous week in Year 6 ending with our Go Ape treat. Year 6 you make me smile each day and amaze me with the amount of curriculum you cover. You are all ready for your next steps, and with just two weeks to go, I will be sure to pack in as much as we can together.

We have completed reading assessments this week to bring our Book Club sessions to an end.

We have read, analysed and described in English and we are now ready to plan our final piece of writing using our book, King Kong.

We have used some of our mornings to complete RE, Computing and French lessons and we have been busy in our afternoons too. We have completed our chair sculptures in art, and we have designed a desk tidy using TinkerCad in computing. We have completed our community maps and drafted an email to our local Parish Councillor to explain our points of concern for our village. We will send them next week, which along with a visit up Wybunbury Tower, will end our Young Leaders Award. We have enjoyed PE with both Coach Beth and Mrs Whittingham. We have discussed pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones in PSHE, which came in handy when walking amongst the treetops at Go Ape. We even managed to squeeze in buddy time with our favourite reception friends.

We now have our Leavers Service words ready to learn and perfect. Our service is at St Chads Church on 17th July at 1.30pm. It will just be our class attending, so there will be plenty of room for families to join us.

We ended our week under the canopy of Delamere Forest with a temperature that was just right. A great day of memory making and having fun. We enjoyed the high ropes, lunch in the forest and plenty of team games. Our next outing is Primary College which is next week. I will send out the details shortly.
