Y6 News of the Week – 17.6.22

A super week in Y6. We have been busy in many areas of our learning and I am very proud of all your efforts.

We have now complete our Theme Park project. Four parks ended up bankrupt with 3 remaining. We worked through their profits and congratulated Wonder World on their win. We have also used our maths skills to work out a kidnapping crime. Malteser the dog was kidnapped from his back garden and we were on to the criminal. We all became detectives and solved this crime. Well done Y6, you used all sorts of skills to find your evidence. Well done.

In English this week we completed a short week of Talk for Writing. We used different characters to build our speech and tone skills. We used my model text as Friday met Monday to discuss the features of my piece. We will work through our edits before we head off to the Moss.

We have enjoyed time listening to our class story in book club this week. We have two more chapters to go before we breathe a sigh of relief for Torak...or do we!

During our RE lesson this week we watched two different videos focusing on different denominations of Christian churches. We compared an Anglican church to a Catholic church and listed different features. 

In Science this week we completed and recorded our role plays on The Circulatory System. We will now review them and present them in our study work books.

We have enjoyed PE, Music and time with our buddies and we have presented Worship too.

I hope you have had a wonderful weekend. We have a fantastic week ahead of activities and visits to the Moss.
