And Half Term is Upon Us Year 6 – 23.5.25

A super half term of learning Year 6. You have worked so hard in all areas, and I am so proud of you. SATs have come and gone, and you deserve your well earned half term break.

This week, we have been busy analysing a piece of writing in english, completing mixed questions in maths and reading with an adult in book club. We have also completed our geography assessment, evaluated our waistcoats, enjoyed a PSHE and wellbeing lesson and two PE lessons. We have welcomed Mrs Hughes into class during RE to talk to us about Holy Communion and what this service means to her. In science we have thought about the Circulatory System and used explanation cards to create our own. We have also thought about how nutrients and water travel around this system and we have discussed good and bad drugs. We have been introduced to a new artist this week. Our new unit is called Take a Seat where we will be creating different sculptures, including a seat.

We have enjoyed taking part in many different sporting events this week, including welcoming you to our Sports Day. The sun shone on our house teams as we all worked together to earn points. Congratulations to our Red House, you were our Key Stage 2 winners.

We ended our week with our favourite buddies and wish them a lovely half term.
