Happy Summer Holidays Year 4 18.7.25

We have had a jam packed final week in Year 4!

We have worked hard to complete our Power Maths lessons this week. In our English, we have edited our final piece of Year 4 writing.

In our computing lessons this week, we have learnt about cloning parts of images to repeat parts or remove something we don't want in the image. We have also learnt about combining images. We spoke about the importance of remembering that what we see online isn't always real and can be edited.

In our Science lessons this week, we have really enjoyed learning about the digestive system. We now know about the parts of the digestive system, how ours compares to animals and the function of our teeth. We have really enjoyed exploring this unit together.

In Design and Technology, our book sleeves have been thoughtfully enhanced with fastenings, decorative elements, and some impressive sewing. Each one reflects a wide range of creative ideas and we will look forward to seeing them being used.

We had the privilege to watch the Y6 Leavers worship this week. What a way to end our school year.

We have had so many fantastic memories from this year. From our peak of PGL, to Bikeability, taking part in Young Voices and our Chinese Theme Day – just to name a few!

Across the year, we have enjoyed our journey through time learning about the Vikings, Crime and Punishment and the Shang dynasty. We have learnt so many new skills – sewing a fastening, making biscuits, designing pavilions, Forest School, investigating sound around school, making our amazing picnic art installation and so much more.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Year 4 for the wonderful year of memories we have had together. Throughoutthe year, we have worked hard across everything we have done! You have all showed kindness and love towards each other throughout the year and Mrs Pointon and I are very proud of you al!! You have all been real shining lights. We are really looking forward to continuing our journey together in to Year 5. We would like to also thank everyone for your messages, thoughtful gifts, and well wishes. We are truly grateful and feel very blessed.
