Year 2 Victorian Day

Yesterday we became time-travellers...

We transported back to the Victorian age in celebration of our school turning 200 years old. We had such fun role playing the lives of children during this time. We had to pay a penny to enter school, learnt about girls' schooling or lack of! And even chanted our times tables whilst writing them with chalk and slate. We had to address Mr Dale as Sir and enjoyed being on our best behaviour throughout the day. It was a fantastic day to celebrate of bicentennial anniversary and we are now looking forward to church on Friday.

A huge thank you to all the effort, you as parents, went to in ensuring the children looked fantastic in their costumes!
