Year 2 News: Merry Christmas!

Well, what a fantastic term we have had! From Jodrell Bank to the Infant Sportshall event. From heading down to St Chads to our mission all about stopping litter once and for all. It has been a fantastic term of learning and laughter.

This week we have been busy with Study Work. We managed to produce three amazing pages including an art page, history and a Jodrell Bank page. We used a range of skills including watercolouring, cutting and sticking – whilst always using our best handwriting.

In Maths, we wrapped up our multiplication and division unit. We completed lessons on the x2, x5 and x10 tables. We used step counting to answer a range of questions including problem solving and reasoning problems. You were all brilliant at counting in your 2s, 5s and 10s this week. Keep practising at home!

Throughout the week we have had lots of Christmas fun. We have crafted, created cards, danced to music, played party games and even designed our own Christmas trees. It has been amazing to celebrate the wonder of Christmas with you all. Thank you all so much for the special gifts and cards I have received this week. They are much appreciated!

We loved our panto on Wednesday. A huge thanks to the PTA who organised snacks, drinks and a fantastic video of Jack and the Beanstalk,.
