Reception Class Messy Church

It was really lovely to warmly welcome our reception families to Messy Church this morning. As we came together, we were reminded how the month of December, the season of advent, is a really special time to be in our church school, preparing for and looking ahead to celebrating Christmas and the good news of the birth of Jesus.

We have very much engaged with the The Church of England's Christmas campaign this year, coming together in worship to 'follow the star', coincidently the name of our nativity and many of our activities today, to seek where the star is pointing to, the person of Jesus and the light that he brings to our lives and that this will help us to take encouragement and hope from Advent and the Christmas story into the year ahead.

After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. Matthew Ch2 v9-12

So on behalf of the Wybunbury Delves reception class team, we extend our warm wishes for a very Happy Christmas and a peaceful new year .
