PE News- 17.2.23

We have had a great finish to our half term in PE!

We have now completed our gymnastics units.

This week we have had great fun in our choice week. We use this week as a chance to lead our own learning and consolidate the skills we have learned throughout the unit. We had the big wall bars out as well as a wide variety of other apparatus. We decided how we wanted to use the apparatus, all classes arranged it differently. We set up Parkour courses, we created multiple slides using the benches, played the 'floor is lava' game by creating islands and split it up to create sequences. We loved using the wall bars, climbing up and down, sliding down, rope climbing, traversing across and using the attachments to climb up and slide down.

Year 5 & 6 moved outside, due to the hall being in use, and took a variety of balls, hoops, cones and frisbees with them to create skills stations and play games of football, basketball and dodgeball.

A brilliant week of fun!
