What a great start we have had!

We have all begun our gymnastics units.

We have been working hard to improve our control of our movements. We have looked at how even a simple walk can be transformed by focussing on quality and control of the movement.

All classes have been working along pathways. Moving between apparatus, over, under, around, through, becoming super creative in how we travel and use our apparatus.

We have worked on spins, in particular on points and patches. Points are the smaller parts of our bodies e.g. hands and feet, and patches, the larger parts such as backs and tummies. We have used pushes and pulls to move us around. We've used asymmetrical balances and different levels from stretched up high to low on the floor.

We have particularly enjoyed using some of the bigger pieces of apparatus to add jumps into our travelling. We have all produced some fantastic work!
