This week we have been celebrating the Queen's Jubilee. Each class have been finding out about the history of a decade of the Queen's reign – key events, music, games etc. We have made decade boards to share all we have found out. We have then learnt a song from the decade to share with the rest of the school in our Jubilee Celebration today. Preschool have joined us to finding out facts about the Queen and they have taught us an action song about the Queen. We thoroughly enjoyed our picnic altogether today on the field; dressing in red, white and blue; and sharing in our jubilee celebrations.
Across school children have been busy making bunting and tributes, including prayer bunting from our lunchtime grooup.
Harry, from Year 6, led us all in the National Anthem with his trumpet playing and we all stood to sing afterwards.
Children in Reception to Year 6 have received a book about the Queen from the church and school; all the children who attended our Jubilee Celebrations today have been given a special Jubilee badge.
We hope you thoroughly enjoy the Jubilee Celebrations over half term and send the Queen our very best wishes for this special occasion.
