What a magical night filled with amazing singing and some fabulous dance moves.
On Thursday, Year 4 and the School Choir made the journey to Manchester Arena to take part in the World's largest school choir event! There were over 7000 children at the event, all singing the songs we have been learning for the past few months. Alongside a live band, conductor and dancers, we joined in with some amazing songs -- Pop Medley, Queen Medley, Freightfest and Kusimama -- to name just some! The children all sang and danced their hearts out.
When we first arrived at the arena we were led in a run through of all the song. During this time, we were stopped and given pointers on how to sing parts and when to dance. We then got to meet the Urban Strider dancers and some famous singers who would be taking part in the event. After our rehearsal, we stopped for a bite to eat. Soon after, it was time for the main event. Parents started to fill the arena and the children's excitement quickly escalated.
It was amazing to see how happy and enthusiastic everyone was. We had a fabulous time showing the parents the songs we have been learning over the last few months. Thank you to all the parents who came to share our magical performance. We hope you enjoyed it as much as us!
Another thank you to all the adults that made this event possible!
