What a World Book Day week of celebrations we have had this week. Lockdown hasn't stopped us celebrating reading at Wybunbury Delves!
On Monday you looked at what books you might like to buy with your £1 vouchers and why. You gave so many good reasons and really liked the books. We will give you your vouchers on Monday when we are all back in school together.
On Tuesday you created your own scene from one of your favourite books and we had to guess what they were! These were fantastic creations and we loved guessing them all!
On Wednesday, the Masked Readers were revealed. Did you enjoy seeing your teachers as masked readers? Did you guess the correct teachers behind the mask? Take it off! Take it off! All answers were revealed yesterday so check if you were right! We loved then seeing your own masks too and your favourite books and can't wait to see them up on display when we are back in school!
Thursday and Friday brought us designing and making our own story jars based on one of our favourite stories. These were so creative and your teachers have told each other about lots of them to go and check out on Seesaw! We can't wait to celebrate them back in school (please keep them for now). We will leave it with the governors now who are going to decide on the winners of the Story Jars. We think you are all winners and can't wait to see them in person!
Early Years also dressed up this year as their favourite book. When we are all back in school, we will organise a day for dress up as I know lots of you have missed this this year!
We hope you enjoyed World Book Day (week!) this year – we certainly did! Vouchers will be given out on Monday – don't forget to use your voucher if you can for a new book too.
