We've had a super week! Even the rain on Wednesday didn't dampen our enthusiasm!
We've continued with our invasion games skills unit, focussing on attacking and defending skills and control of the ball in basketball and football.
Year 1 paid particular attention to their bouncing skills, progressing from two handed to one handed and starting to move the ball from side to side.
Year 3 focussed on controlling the bounce and shielding the ball from defenders in basketball whilst in football, working on ball control and fast evasive skills to dribble the ball past defenders.
Year 6 worked on increasing their speed and agility to change direction and body position to protect the ball and wrong foot defenders to get past them in both basketball and football. Heavy rain cut the session short but instead we learned about the skeletal system and created our own paper skeletons!
It's been fantastic to see so many personal challenge records filling up so quickly. Lots of children can't wait to show me how much they've completed! I'm super impressed!
Have a lovely weekend.
