PE News 25.6.21

We have mixed it up a little bit this week by taking part in our virtual Town Sports!
All classes have worked in groups to complete various events. We measured and recorded our distances jumped and thrown in:

• standing long jump-taking off from two feet and landing on two feet
• standing triple jump-a hop, step and jump
• chest push-a two handed throw from the chest

We took turns marking where our feet or the ball landed and working out the distance on the tape measure.
We also competed against each other to try and win the three races.

• hurdles-jumping a set of hurdles
• bean bag race-running and collecting bean bags, one at a time, and placing them into a hoop
• relay-passing the baton

We worked hard as teams and Mrs Jenkins was particularly impressed with how we helped each other out! Fantastic!
Our results will be sent off to CNSSP to be put against those from other schools in Crewe and Nantwich. Fingers crossed!
In Sports Coaching's PE lesson the focus this week was fencing. En garde! Again, there were some super performances and lots of hard work! I wonder which sport will be next?
