Hello Year 2!
This is our first weekly news update! How exciting! Also, I can't believe it's Friday; the last three days have zoomed by.
When we came in on Wednesday, you entered the classroom with big smiles on your faces! It was lovely to see you all again. You were excited as you walked in because you realised that our class's 'Journeys and Discoveries' topic was Space! We have already been learning all about the planets in our solar system as part of our Big Art project, and we already have some Space superstars who have been finding out more at home! If you find sometime interesting, feel free to send it to me on SeeSaw! We'll also be able to share it with the whole class via SeeSaw too.
This week, we have also been opened our brand new English books to do some writing. We have been writing all about the fun activities we have been up to during the Summer Holidays. It was been so lovely to read them, and I am impressed by how hard you have all worked!
For maths, we have been outside playing lots of maths games. We have drawn number lines and used them to count in twos, we have been recapping our number bonds knowledge and we have been playing counting games.
Thank you for a wonderful first week back Year 2! I am already excited about the learning journeys and discoveries I have planned for us for next week.
Have a wonderful weekend,
