We've come to the end of another school year, albeit a rather strange one!
The PE you were able to complete in school has ranged from invasion games and health related fitness to dance, gymnastics and orienteering. You managed to start an athletics unit too which was cut short by the lockdown. As usual there have been many outstanding performances in PE lessons, none more so than when you compete with yourselves and smash your own targets, turning an 'I can't' into 'I can!'
You have all shown amazing resilience and ingenuity to continue with PE in some form during lockdown. I've loved seeing your photos and videos and hearing about the different activities you have done with your families. You have kept up your fitness with Joe Wicks and our fitness challenges and found your zen with Cosmic Kids and various other yoga routines. As more of you have been able to come back into school, you have continued with tennis skills, athletics and orienteering.
Many of you took part in the CNSSP Virtual Town Sports event which saw our school come a fantastic 4th place!
Last week saw you complete our own virtual sports day, The Sock Olympics. Over half of the school took part and you submitted your scores for the magic maths fairies to add up (thank you excel spreadsheets!) As the week progressed each of the houses took the lead at one point, even the teachers! Eventually, Green House were crowned the champions! A huge well done to everyone who took part, you were all amazing!
It's goodbye to our wonderful year 6. Good luck in your high school adventure! You will be missed!
Thank you for the wonderful cards and gifts, you're all so kind.
Have a lovely summer break and I will see you in September!
