Happy New Year, Y4. It was a snowy start to our second term together and home learning was the order of the day for our first two days which included building snowmen, sledging and simply having lots of fun in the snow. I did love seeing all your pictures. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard on their home learning.
When we were back in school, we have started our new English unit and enjoyed listening to the story of Arthur and the Golden Rope which is what our writing will be based upon. In maths, we have been exploring timestables and learnt some fantastic tricks for finding different multiples.
One of this week's highlights has been art. We have continued with the project we started in the Autumn term – exploring patterns – and have used the artist Rachel Parker to inspire our work. I can't wait to see what the finished products will look like.
This week, we welcomed a new member to our class family, Miss Hesketh, and she has enjoyed getting to know you all. We also said goodbye to someone very special – Mrs Parker. There were lots of hugs and tears but we wish Mrs Parker the best for her retirement. We will certainly miss her though.
Have a great weekend,
Miss P
