Happy Half Term Year 6

A super half term of learning Year 6. You have worked so hard in all areas, and I am so proud of you. SATs have come and gone, and you deserve your well-earned half term break.

This week, we have been busy analysing a piece of writing in English, completing mixed questions in maths and reading with an adult in Book Club. We have enjoyed playing different SpaG games too. We have also completed our RE unit on the Eucharist, enjoyed an Art lesson, a PSHE and Wellbeing lesson and a Music lesson too . We have completed our French unit and we are nearly there with our Geography unit too. How do we pack in so much learning?

We have taken part in two PE lessons this week and thoroughly enjoyed welcoming you to our Sports Day. The rain kept off on our house teams as we all worked together to earn points. Congratulations to our Yellow House, you were our Key Stage 2 winners.

We have two standout moments this week: one has to be our heart dissection workshop run by Mr Broadhead and a member of the Shavington Science department and the other is learning to use Tinkercad in Computing. All lessons brought our learning alive.

We ended our week with our favourite buddies by helping them to plant strawberry and bean plants and we wish them a lovely half term.
