Happy Half Term Year 5 13.02.26

Wow, we have come to the end of our spring term 1 this week. It has been a fantastic half term of learning in Year 5!

We have started to look at our second writing outcome in English this week. In maths, we have learnt about square, cube and prime numbers.

We have enjoyed Computing, French, Art, RE and Interfaith learning this week.

We were really lucky to have a visit from Jenni from Natural England this week. We feel that it is amazing to be able to visit a national nature reserve on our very doorstep and we will be participating in many visits to the moss over the weeks and months to come. Jenni told us that the moss became a national nature reserve in 1955. We learnt that is is a peat bog. Another name for the moss is a Schwingmoor and we learnt that there are only 3 in England. We are now really looking forward to our upcoming visits. Please look out for emails about this.
