Happy Half Term Year 4 – 23.10.26
What a fantastic half term we have had in Year 4! We have worked incredibly hard and should all be very proud of what we have achieved.
We have now completed our writing units and are looking forward to discovering our next story, which will inspire and drive our writing after the half-term break. In Book Club, we will continue to find out more fascinating facts about the Vikings, and in Maths, we will build upon our learning as we continue to work through our addition and subtraction unit. We have completed our focus on their, there and they're in spellings and now we need to think about these words when we are producing our writing.
We have also completed many of our afternoon subjects and are ready to begin some exciting new ones next half term. We have thoroughly enjoyed our Black History focus on Nelson Mandela and learning more about his life and the important changes he helped to bring about. We also enjoyed a visit from PC Nick, who reminded us all about staying safe around bonfires and fireworks. Thank you, PC Nick.
We opened door number 5 during our Friendship Terrace lesson and learned all about Leave Out Liam! We brought this learning alive using short drama sessions.
I have not set any new homework for this half-term as we have all worked so hard to complete each week's piece and deserve a well earned break. However, iff your child does have any outstanding pieces, please can they use some of this time to bring themselves up to date.
I hope you all have a wonderful, well-deserved half-term break. Enjoy spending time with your family and friends, have lots of fun and come back ready for another busy and exciting half term!
Have a lovely half term, Year 4!
