Happy Easter Year 5!

We have come to the end of another brilliant term in Year 5!

This week, in English, we have enjoyed planning our own narratives based on the book 'The Promise' for after Easter. In maths, we have learnt more about problem solving involving multiplication and division. We also started our new unit on fractions – focusing on finding equivalent fractions.

Our wow moment this week has been our DT learning. This week we have created wobble bots. They are amazing creations which we can use to draw! We started by learning about circuits and made a simple circuit which included a motor. We considered items in our homes that are powered by motors. We then moved on to add our circuits to create a wobble bots. For this, we needed to add an off-centre weight to our models so that it would move and wobble. Using four colours pens attached to our bot, we were able to make them draw. Please check out our photos to see them in action!

Throughout the week, we have also enjoyed our two PE lessons, music, Computing, Science, Heartsmart, History and RE.
