Happy Easter Year 1 27.3.26

What a wonderfully busy and exciting week it has been in Year 1!

The children have been working incredibly hard on their writing, creating fantastic information pieces all about penguins. They were so enthusiastic and proud to share all the interesting facts they have learned. In Maths, I have been supporting the children as they focus on their number bonds to 20, and it has been brilliant to see confidence growing across the class. The children have shown great determination and are becoming much quicker at recalling their number facts. I was so impressed during our hockey session – the children were amazing! They showed great teamwork, listening skills, and lots of energy. On Wednesday, we enjoyed a truly special morning at Messy Church. It was wonderful to welcome families into school and spend time together creating beautiful Easter crafts. The candles decorated with spring pictures were especially lovely, and it was such a warm and joyful atmosphere. In the afternoons, the children have had lots of fun taking part in different activities. One of the highlights of the week has been designing Miss Willis’ wedding dress! They had so many creative ideas, and I loved hearing all of their thoughts and discussions about weddings and what it means to get married. It has been such a full and happy week, and I am so proud of everything the children have achieved.
