It has been lovely to welcome you all back to school after our two snow days this week! I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! Thank you for all of the work that was completed during our two days at home and for the brilliant pictures of your snow activities!
On our return to school, we have enjoyed lots of new learning. We have completed our time-slip narratives (inspired by our trip to Blist Hills) in our English lessons this week. In Maths, we have been recalling our times tables and recapping the rules within them. We have also completed learning in Art, RE and History.
Our RE lesson this week was a brilliant way to start our new unit. We enjoyed having a moment to think about what we have learnt throughout our lives and who has taught us these skills. We went on to read three parables from the Bible and considered what Jesus was teaching his followers through the stories that he told. We enjoyed reading the parables of the wise and foolish builders, the parable of the sower and the lost sheep. We spent time to consider the message and whether there was something Jesus was telling Christians they shouldn't do within their lives.
Maths.co.uk homework has been set for this week.
Have a wonderful week!
