Welcome Back to Preschool!

What a wonderful start to our preschool year! The children have settled back in beautifully, and we've enjoyed a fantastic first week together.

This week, we spent time exploring both our indoor and outdoor areas, discovering all the exciting spaces and activities they offer.

At carpet time, we introduced ourselves and shared lots of stories--Shark in the Park has quickly become a class favourite! Our rhyme of the week was "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Once I Caught a Fish Alive," which we used to practice counting from 1 to 5 and beyond--our maths focus for the week.

Indoors, we've been busy cooking up fun in the role-play kitchen, going fishing with our magnetic game, and building mini sandcastles in the sand tray.

Outdoors, the ride-in cars have been very popular, as well as caring for baby dolls in pushchairs, playing with dinosaurs, and collecting fallen fruit with our litter pickers. On Friday, the children especially enjoyed giving some of our toys a good scrub with big brushes--it was both helpful and lots of fun!

We're excited to welcome the last of our new friends next week as we continue our preschool journey together.

Looking Ahead

New Friends – Next week, we'll be welcoming the final members of our preschool family. We're looking forward to helping everyone feel settled and part of the group.

Rhyme of the Week – We'll share our new rhyme with the children, so keep an ear out at home--they may start singing it for you!

We will also be introducing our first story of the week 'We are going on a bear hunt'

We can't wait for another fun-filled week ahead!
