Reception Class News 09/01/26

Welcome Back Reception Class!
Although the snowy weather meant we missed two days of school at the beginning of the week, it was great to see everyone's home learning on Seesaw, especially your snowy pictures.

Throughout the week we’ve taken time to focus on wellbeing, enjoyed music sessions, and had lots of fun in maths, where we’ve been counting backwards from 10 and practicing sequencing numbers. We also began to introduce our new topic, Superheroes, and loved joining in with superhero-themed songs and rhymes.

Our favourite moment moment of the week was Forest School with Mr Hadfield. We explored animal skulls and skeletons from local creatures like foxes, badgers, and deer. We also touched animal furs, including a reindeer's fur, and examined antlers.
We met "Spikey" the hedgehog and helped him build a cozy winter home to hide from Mr. Fox.
