Happy Easter Year 6 – 28.3.24

Another term has come and gone. Your final spring term at Wybunbury Delves has come to an end and how brilliant you have all been. Your dedication, hard work and great attitude to learning never ceases to amaze me. Thank you, Year 6. You always put a smile on my face and keep me on my toes!

In Maths this week we have begun our Measure unit. We have recapped area and perimeter and used geoboards to help our understanding. We will continue with this unit after Easter.

Our book club sessions this week have been dedicated to our Easter Service practices.

This week in our RE lesson we used different parts of the Bible to read about the Easter story. We used this knowledge to create an Easter card design. We also discussed as a class what kind of king we thought Jesus was and what his most important title is. Great opinions Year 6.

We have taken part in a PSHE lesson this week and enjoyed using our Wellbeing journals.

This week in Music we were entertained by The Iconic Chickens, The Boyz and The Pinapplez as we watched each beat boxing scene being performes. Miss Holand is really pleased with all your hard work. You should be very proud of yourselves. Well done Year 6.

We have enjoyed two PE lessons this week. One was dedicated to leadership skills and our final one of the term was a free choice activity. Year 6 I know how well your planned activities went as you shared your sessions with each other. You thought about the different parts to your activity and Mrs Whittingham was really pleased with the outcome.

I just want to say what a privilege it has been to share our Easter Service with you this week. It was a moving worship and was a joy to be a part of. Being in church makes our service even more special. Thank you for supporting us.

We have also completed our final assessments using all our spring learning. You smashed it Year 6. I am super proud of you all. I haven't set any homework to complete over the half term as I think a well-deserved break has been earned by all. I know many of you have SATs buster books and I'm sure you will be busy working on some of those tasks.

Be sure to enjoy the lie ins and recharge your batteries, and perhaps some time outside, but more importantly enjoy your family time.
