Happy Easter Year 3

Happy Easter Y3! Thank you for a lovely half term, we have really enjoyed our time together. This week we squeezed lots into four days, including lots of quizzes, sewing and a walk to the church to share our Easter service with our families.

In D&T this week we used our Egyptian collar designs to make our own creations! First, we used a template to create the shape, choosing different coloured felts and threads. We then practised running stitch and off we went! We will continue this after the holidays but they are already looking fantastic!

Wednesday saw us walking to church to share the message of Easter at church. You sung beautifully, you spoke clearly and confidently and I was a very proud teacher. Well done Y3. When we returned to school, we even managed to sneak in to the hall to watch Y4's trumpet performance which was absolutely amazing!

This afternoon we continued to learn about the Easter story in RE, thinking about the emotions at different points of the Easter story. Our PE lesson this week linked to our wellbeing session and we had a taster session of Tai Chi.

We finished our week with a very special visit from Hi Impact where we programmed using Lego spike. We used motors, switches and then you built different items and coded them to make them move. It was great to see you all so enthusiastic and working so well together in your pairs. It was a wonderful way to end our week together.
