Year 6 Welcome Back!
This week has flown by! We have started reading our story, Sky Hawk by Gill Lewis. So far we are enjoying the suspense and mysterious of our main character, Iona. We are eager to find out what her secret is.
In English we have been concentrating on how to answer text questions, we have realised it is easier to discuss our answers aloud than write them down! We have been looing at finding evidence to back our answers but we need to remember to explain our quotes! Writing, we have been writing from Iona's point of view.
In maths we have started looking at shape, beginning with circles and all the language associated with them and we have moved onto angles. On Wednesdays we will be concentrating on measures.
Science this half term is habitats.
Our homework timetable has changed slightly this term — please check out our class newsletter.
Have a lovely weekend
