Year 6 Week

Home » News » Year 6 Week

Our week began with our visit to Stockley Farm, it was enjoyed by all — especially the baby goats! For the rest of the week we have been concentrating on writing and science.
We have written stories for a short animation called 'The Eye of the Storm'. It was a piece of fantasy writing which the children have interpreted in many different ways — some great stories to read! We have also completed some explanation writing connected to our science work on light.
Using our visit to the farm as a starting point, we have begun to revise life processes and living things. A vocabulary booklet has been sent home today for science — see how many words you can explain! Please bring them into school each day next week.
On Thursday, Mrs Hughes and Judith and Marian (from St. Chad's) began the Junior Alpha course with Year 6. The Alpha course is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith and ask questions.
PC Nick came to visit today and he spent some time talking to Year 5 and 6.
Have a lovely weekend.
Mrs Chesters
