Well, we came in to breakfast club this morning to find the toys have been having a bit of fun over...
Year 6, this week...
we have been writing poems about the island of Wing (from our story Exodus). Wing is being destroyed by rising sea levels and the villagers are fighting for survival. We have been investigating word classes and then using these to write descriptive poems.
In maths our focus has been negative numbers, finding ranges and challenging ourselves to complete magic squares which included minus numbers.
We've joined with Y5 for our first KiVa lesson of the year, this month's theme is Respect for all. We have continued with our science work on the human body and French with Miss Lake.
Looking to Harvest (Tuesday 29th September, 1.30pm at church) we have begun to practise songs and learn our words.
Year 6 are all very excited about next week .... final arrangements have been sent home by email today.
Enjoy your weekend,
Mrs Chesters
