...bikeability has taken place. On Wednesday and Friday we went off into the village to learn about riding our bikes on the road. We had a great time — certificates and badges to follow next week!
In literacy we have been continuing our theme of traffic — we have together arguments about whether cars should be banned and have looked at descriptive writing of grid locked cities.
Maths, we have continued to look at fractions — adding, subtracting, comparing, ordering and finding midpoints.
Our afternoons have been focused around WW1 in readiness for Remembrance Day, we completed our cards about the 20 Delves 'old boys' who lost their lives in the WW1 and we wrote diaries from them. We were interested to find out about WW2 from a Y5 grandparent too — thank you for sharing.
A big thank you to the children who have represented school this week, Tuesday night at the memorial story and our radio stars on Wednesday.
We have also found out about renewable energy and completed a KiVa session with Y5.
Thank you to the fundraisers for organising activities for Children in Need — we'll let you know the total next week.
My Maths homework has been set tonight.
Have a lovely weekend
Mrs Chesters
